I am a licensed professional counselor and registered
art therapist.
As a Louisiana native, I know that seeking mental and emotional help is often overlooked or can be stigmatized. This is why, after almost a decade of living outside Louisiana, I decided to open my own practice here in hopes of offering SWLA something unique. At Shift Happens, I want to eliminate the stigma of therapy by providing a safe space for healing and growth through creativity, connection, and community.

Individually, Shift Happens facilitates traditional talk therapy, as well as art therapy for adolescents and adults. I often work with clients from a variety of backgrounds navigating all types of barriers from life transitions to identity development. At Shift Happens, I focus on an integrative and holistic approach that promotes mental and emotional wellness.
Art Therapy Groups

In a group setting, Shift Happens offers clinical art therapy centered around a group specific topic. Group therapy is a great way to connect with others who share your same life-experiences. The goal is to use creative materials in a small group setting to explore self-expression and experience support!
Creative Constellate
a non-clinical place to play and interact

Communally, Shift Happens hosts Creative Constellate! Constellate means, “gather together.'' This community event is simply a place for people to play, connect, and explore different art mediums. Although Creative Constellate is non-clinical, joining with others in a creative environment is a great way to relax, reconnect with your inner-creative, and renew your own curiosity!
